  17. <p>    Help wanted: aggressive boss for football's most powerful
  18. job. The National Football League's top post has belonged to one
  19. man for nearly 30 years, and so replacing Commissioner Pete
  20. Rozelle has been tough. He has wanted to retire since March, and
  21. though some 50 names have been proposed, team owners can't agree
  22. on a successor. Some potential candidates don't want to be
  23. football's czar. Former Dallas quarterback Roger Staubach
  24. prefers the challenge of his real estate business, and U.S.
  25. Senator Bill Bradley will leave the field to others. Says he:
  26. "The ball's the wrong shape."
